Reader Question: Anyone know of affordable Houston automobile insurance quotes, without signing up for a company that I have never heard of before? I have 2 teenage sons that will soon be driving so I was hoping to find a teen driver friendly insurance company here in Houston TX

There are a few simple things you can do to help reduce your annual premiums on Houston Automobile insurance .
1. Raise your deductible amount to the highest you feel comfortable with. You only pay when you have a claim and that claim is paid by your carrier.
2. Clean your credit history and score. Many carriers are using that info to help them determine your payment risk
3. Take defensive driving if you have tickets of moving violations
4. Ask for discounts, Military, AARP, credit union and fraternal organization membership …even good student discounts.
